TWO brothers aged 37 and 22 were stabbed to death on Saturday morning.

The suspect allegedly claims the murders were committed in self-defence.

The suspect is in police custody and will appear in court today.

Police received reports of the murders, which occurred at the Nhlanhlakahle informal settlement, just above Muniredy Road in Northdale.

According to police, the suspect claims to have been approached by the two brothers who were looking for a radio.

Disagreement over the radio allegedly led to the suspect pulling out a knife and stabbing both brothers in the heart.

Police found the suspect outside his house, where he was arrested.

The deceased have been identified as Elvis Zibuse Mbambo (37) and Thobelani Protas Mbambo (22).
