Brumbies’ players ‘will visit SA again’

2009-03-30 00:00

The theft of several laptops and cellphones from the Elangeni Hotel room where some of the Brumbies players were staying on Saturday night will not stop the team from visiting Durban again.

Brumbies media and communications manager Nick Smith described the incident as “minor”.

“Nobody was hurt. The guys are all fine and have moved past the incident. These incidents were isolated and it was unnecessary for the SAPS to get involved. We are currently investigating these thefts in conjunction with our security,” he said.

Smith said that the team members were not negative about the incident and will definitely visit Durban again.

“We have no concerns about continuing our stay at the Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel and we could not have been happier with the service and security we have received on behalf of the hotel during our time here,” he said.
