Business: Taxis running, shops open

Police yesterday advised people to go to work as normal today and tomorrow.

Senior Superintendent Henry Budhram said their operation for the Zuma trial will continue until the end of court tomorrow. “The area in the immediate vicinity of the courts will be blocked off, but the rest of town will operate as normal.”

Taxi operators have said there will be no disruptions today and tomorrow, despite earlier reports of a strike.

At Liberty Midlands Mall shops will be open today and tomorrow, although some may be closed during the Cosatu strike on Wednesday.
