Businessman disappears in early hours

A TEAM of private investigators are assisting a traumatised Kloof family, after the alleged abduction of a man early yesterday morning.

Bruce Anthony Galloway (59), a businessman, left his Intengu Road home around 4 am yesterday, to get an early start for a business trip to Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.

A family member, however, found the car still in the driveway when he went outside at about 5.30 am and he raised the alarm.

Police spokesperson Colonel Vincent Mdunge confirmed yesterday that Pinetown police are investigating a case of kidnapping. No arrests have yet been made, he said.

According to investigator Heinrich Schwartz, from Brad Nathanson investigations, they are assisting the family by following up all possible leads.

Galloway’s son, Wayne, referred questions to the investigators, saying this is a very difficult time for the family and that they want time to come to terms with it privately.

Wayne told East Coast Radio earlier: “[Galloway’s] car, at the moment, is in the driveway … His glasses and cellphone are in the bush next to his car.”

According to the investigator’s Facebook update, there is evidence that a struggle took place at the vehicle.

“Please get this message to everybody you can. Bruce’s family is beside themselves with worry,” the investigator added in a plea on the family’s behalf.
