Busted with calf in ambulance

2014-12-24 00:00

TWO cousins were arrested after they allegedly stole a calf and transported it in a marked private ambulance.

Blade Olifant (26) and Kgothatso Olifant (27) were arrested at 2 am on Sunday in Limpopo. They were pulled over at a roadblock and allegedly admitted they were on their way to spit braai the calf. The pair were rumbled when the calf started making a noise in the ambulance, which was marked with their contact details.

Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said they were the dumbest criminals he has ever come across. “The ambulance belongs to one of the men’s fathers. They were partying and drinking when they were pulled over.”

He said local residents heard the calf and called police, giving them the contact number from the ambulance.
