A 33-YEAR-OLD woman, Leona Naidoo, who is among six accused facing charges of murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm arising from a brawl at G’s Cafe in Raisethorpe at the weekend, has been granted bail of R1 000.

The state did not oppose bail being granted to the mother of two children.

She and her co-accused, including two juveniles, will make their next appearance in court on April 14 when the other accused are expected to apply for bail.

The accused are charged with the murder of Naushad Mohamed (23) who was allegedly hit with a baseball bat and shot in the chest during the incident, as well as assaults on Yubendran Lutchman and Jonathan Govender.

They are also charged with unlawful possession of a 9 mm pistol.
