Capture beauty on the N3 Toll Route and win

2009-06-29 00:00

THERE is no better way to cherish the beauty of our country than to capture it in a photograph.

That’s the philosophy behind N3 Toll Concession’s (N3TC) annual photographic competition, which provides an opportunity for individuals to capture the beauty surrounding the N3 Toll Route between Heidelberg and Cedara.

“N3TC would like to create awareness of the fact that the N3 Toll Route is not merely a road; rather it is a destination consisting of many towns, people, cultures, events and communities that are rich in diversity and subject,” said Con Roux, commercial manager of N3 Toll Concession.

The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers of all ages in the following categories:

Travel and Tourism; Culture, Sport and Recreation; People; Wildlife, Fauna and Flora and Landscape.

N3TC is offering cash prices to the winners and runners up in each category (R1 000 and R500 respectively), and a selection of the winning photographs will be published in N3TC’s 2010 corporate calendar.

“This year, N3TC has introduced a prize category for scholars. We believe that there are a number of photographic clubs at the schools along the N3 Toll Route and decided to incentivise the younger generation to participate in the N3TC Photographic Competition,” said Roux.

Photographers wishing to enter the competition can download the entry form the N3TC website, which includes the rules for the competition. All submissions must be accompanied by an entry form, and photographs can be supplied in digital or printed format. The deadline for the submission of entries is September 30.
