Ceremony: king to open KZN Legislature today

King Goodwill Zwelithini will today officially open the KZN Legislature during a ceremony at the Royal Showgrounds’ Olympia Hall.

Tomorrow, at the same venue, Premier S’bu Ndebele will deliver his last state-of-the-province address. ANC president Jacob Zuma is expected to attend.

Roads will be closed from 9.30 and 10.45 am today.

• One lane of Langalibalele Street, from the legislature to the corner with Chief Albert Luthuli will be closed for the procession.

Intersections leading into Chief Albert Luthuli will be closed as the proseession passes.

•Howick Road will be closed from Gough Street and the traffic will be diverted to Hyslop Road.

•Traffic coming from the Townbush direction will be diverted at the Chatterton Road traffic circle.
