2011-03-09 00:00

THE Witness in association with Sanlam and the Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business has pleasure in inviting readers to a breakfast at the Protea Hotel Hilton on Thursday, March 24th.

Top financial journalist and the founder of Moneyweb Alec Hogg, who recently attended the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, as a participant for the eighth time, will be the guest speaker.

His topic will be “South Africa — Land of Opportunity in the New World Order”.

Hogg is more upbeat than ever about South Africa’s prospects in the post-Crash “New Normal” world economy. “The invitation to become a member of the BRICS is only part of SA’s good news,” he says. “Right now, opportunities abound, but so do risks,” he says.

Come and hear Hogg identify some of these opportunities and risks as he sees them, as he shares his insights after attending the annual power nexus of politicians, business leaders and civic society.

His talk will give delegates some interesting perspectives on South Africa’s economic prospects, as well as on developments they can expect in the months ahead that will affect their investments.
