Charity drive: Slippers with soul

2012-07-23 00:00

FIRST- and second-year students of The Style Design College have created a range of fun and stylish slippers to help raise funds for children suffering with life-threatening illnesses in KwaZulu-Natal.

Reach For A Dream celebrates its second year of the “Reach For Your Slippers” campaign, which has gone national after a successful first year in KZN. This year the charity aims to get more people into their slippers for one day at work or school to make children’s dreams a reality.

Students of the college have brought their designs to life for a slipper fashion show taking place at Palm Court at Gateway Theatre of Shopping on Slipper Day on August 3.

Schools or companies can get involved by buying a slipper sticker for R10 each from the nearest Miladys store or by calling 031 566 2220.
