Chiefs rewarded for brilliant Q3

JOHANNESBURG — The PSL’s acting CEO, Cambridge Mokanyane, has congratulated Kaizer Chiefs for winning the third quarter of the PSL’s Q-Innovation.

The Amakhosi have bagged R1,5 million in prize money for their efforts during Q3.

Chiefs have been in impressive form under Stuart Baxter this season and have built up a seven-point lead at the summit of the PSL log after 24 rounds. The Amakhosi accumulated 18 points in the third quarter and are unbeaten in their last eight games.

“Kaizer Chiefs have been playing great football lately and it is no surprise that they have emerged as the overall winners of Quarter Three. I would like to congratulate the Kaizer Chiefs chairperson, Mr Kaizer Motaung, Chiefs management, coach Stuart Baxter, the club captain Itumeleng Khune and the Kaizer Chiefs players for this achievement.

“To win the Q-Innovation twice in one season is no small feat. One of the biggest successes of the Q-Innovation concept is that it has placed significant value on every game,” Mokanyane said in a statement.
