Chistlehurst puts on ‘Cinderella’

2009-12-03 00:00

PIETERMARITZBURG’S arts focus school, Chistlehurst, will be staging Cinderella – The Family Pantomime from December 8 to 10 at 7 pm at the school. As the winners of the 2009 Youth Arts Festival, Chistlehurst pupils are eager to wow the audiences with a humorous, witty and professional performance. The cast is made up of mainly Grade 11 pupils. All the costuming, set design and music has also been produced by the school.

Chistlehurst, a small school with only 60 pupils, offers tuition from Grade 8 to Grade 12, and focuses on the arts. For the past three years pupils have performed and taken best perfomance awards at Rock Challenge, which is a dance-off competition that is sponsored by Australia.
