Cilliers: captain for swd oudtshoorn clash

2010-03-19 00:00

WITH centre Andries Strauss injured, prop Patric Cilliers will take over the captaincy of the Sharks XV for their Vodacom Cup match against SWD in Oudtshoorn tomorrow.

The Sharks’ win over Free Sate in Empangeni last weekend kept them top of the log, but coach Sean Everitt has made a couple of changes for the SWD game.

Jerome Pretorius takes over from Strauss in midfield, while SA U20 wing S’Buru Sithole is in for Luzuko Vulindlu and Ross Cronje takes over from Charl McLeod at scrumhalf.

Luvuyiso Lusaseni returns at number eight after injury with Justin Downey moving to the bench and, with Wiehahn Herbst joining the Sharks Super 14 squad, Julian Redelinghuys is at tighthead.

SWD have lost both their games to date.
