Cold front: Chance of snow

2013-08-06 00:00

A COLD front this week may cause snow to fall in the Drakensberg, and will bring rain and very cold temperatures.

The SA Weather Service yesterday warned that a strong cold front will blow in over the south-west Cape today, bringing cold, wet and windy conditions to the Eastern Cape that will move inland through the week.

Snow falls are expected over the western and northern parts of the Eastern Cape and will spread to Lesotho by Thursday.

It will also rain over Mpumalanga and KZN on Thursday, where a high temperature of just 9° Celsius is predicted on Friday and 13° on Saturday.
