Copper: Joburg suspects breach bail conditions

2011-09-02 00:00

TWO men accused of copper theft did not come to court while their two co-accused appeared at the Camperdown magistrates court yesterday and warrants of arrest were issued.

Craig Foley from Chatsworth in Durban and Bongani Mabuza (30) were in court while their co accused, Ernest Khoza (33), and Sibusiso Mathebula (27) from Johannesburg were nowhere to be found. The four were out on bail of R5 000.

They were caught last month by police in Stone Ridge near Camperdown in possession of copper and tools. They will be back in court on October 3 as investigations and the search for their two co-accused continue.

State prosecutor Joshua Khuzwayo applied for warrants of arrest to be issued against the missing men.
