Cricket: exams limit matches

2010-11-13 00:00

THE penultimate Saturday of the term sees just nine cricket matches as most schools do not play sport during the exams.

St Charles should be hosting Michaelhouse (ground conditions permitting) in a return match. During the first term rain probably denied Michaelhouse a victory. It put paid to further play when they needed just 18 runs for a win.

With four players selected in each of the under-17 and U19 Inland teams, St Charles will be confident of a win.

Kearsney will be trying to maintain their good record against KZN schools when they travel to play Westville. They were in the driving seat during the first term, needing two more wickets for a victory when bad light stopped play.

Fixtures (home side first): St Charles vs Michaelhouse; Westville vs Kearsney; Glenwood vs Northwood; Hilton vs Howick; Carter vs Grace; Weston vs Raisethorpe; Thomas More vs Hilton II; Hilton III vs Treverton; Linpark vs Wembley
