Crime: Man bites his rapist’s chin

A 23-YEAR-OLD man fought ‘tooth and nail’ against a man who raped him in the KwaZulu-Natal south coast township of Malangeni, near Umzinto.

The police are looking for the alleged rapist, who can be identified by bite marks on his chin where the 23-year-old bit him in defence.

The police have released an identikit of the man wan­ted for rape and are appea­ling to the public to assist in the arrest of the alleged ra­pist. The Umzinto SAPS family violence, child protection and sexual offences unit’s Detective Inspector Devika Pillay would like to interview this man in connection with the incident, which occurred on October 12, 2008.

The wanted man is believed to be 35 years old, short and of medium build. He is dark in complexion and has a moustache.

Pillay is appealing to anyone who recognizes the man to contact him on 039 974 1151.
