DJ Black Coffee to head Music at the Lake concert

MULTIPLE Sama award winner DJ Black Coffee will be the headline act next Tuesday at the Heritage Day celebrations at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake concert.

The show will be held at the Durban Botanic Gardens, celebrating 100 years of the oldest surviving botanic garden on the African continent and Durban’s oldest public institution.

It has played host to some of South Africa’s biggest names in the music, industry with the likes of Johnny Clegg, Prime Circle, Mafikizolo and Khaya Mthethwa, just to name a few.

“Celebrating Heritage Day is about taking stock of our national heritage in its entirety, and through the Old Mutual Music at the Lake series we use culture to also enhance and acknowledge our natural heritage,” said Bandile Mngoma from Old Mutual.

“To experience a top-drawer artist such as DJ Black Coffee at such an iconic venue shows that humanity is inextricably linked to the natural world. We encourage lovers of fine entertainment to join us at what promises to be a beautiful day.”

DJ Black Coffee is set to treat his Durban fans to an all-star set including Tumelo, Soulstar, Mahlatse and Pantsula.
