DStv Magazine: subscribers now have a choice

2012-04-26 00:00

AFTER being flooded with complaints by subscribers unhappy with its decision to scrap listings in Dish magazine, MultiChoice intends asking all its subscribers to choose whether they want listings in the magazine.

Subscribers will be sent an SMS or e-mail and asked to indicate their preference for one of three options:

Dish magazine which does not have programme schedules;

Dish magazine which includes the programme schedules;

Dish magazine.

Subscribers can wait for those messages to arrive in the next few days or access the survey directly on the DStv website at DStv.com/DishPoll, or they can send an SMS, at no cost, with their smartcard number and their option choice of A, B or C to 30622.

They have until May 11 to indicate their preference.

“We have now realised that many of our subscribers are still emotionally attached to the magazine in the old format. We listen to our subscribers and we’ve reviewed our decision,” said Collins Khumalo, CEO of MultiChoice SA.

He said the magazine had a lead time of three months for printed schedules, so the listings would appear again only in September.
