Dam Drowning: Police want to trace victim’s family

2013-01-25 00:00

POLICE are looking for the next of kin of Aaron Themba Mohlakoana (39), who was found dead next to a dam in Ashburton last August.

Police spokesperson Joey Jeevan said Mohlakoana had no visible injuries, and a toxicology report was awaited to establish the cause of his death. Fingerprints confirmed his identity, and he was believed to be from Kokstad.

“His relatives could not be traced. He is known by the local community and was previously employed as a gardener and cattle herder.”

Jeevan appealed for his family to call Detective Sergeant Pinky Khumalo from the Camperdown detective services at 031 785 9028/29 or 072 6176 237, or Warrant Officer Zizamele Mkhize at 082 755 6473.
