Dangerous suspects on the run

HARDING police are looking for dangerous criminals who escaped from custody on August 14. The men are wanted for several house robberies.

On May 5 they robbed a farmhouse while the owner was not home. They held a farm worker at gunpoint, ransacked the house and fled with a gun safe containing a pistol and ammunition.

A safe containing cash was also stolen but later recovered.

Three men and a farm worker were arrested. During investigations it was discovered that three more suspects were involved in the robbery and they are believed to be armed with handguns including the one stolen from the farm.

On May 14 the suspects robbed Thengeduze store at KwaMbotha in the Harding area. They forced open the door and held a worker at gunpoint demanding cash. The worker tried to flee and he was wounded in the left shoulder. The suspects fled with a few personal items.

Later in May suspects attacked another store. The owner was confronted by two men who demanded cash at gunpoint and he was bound with electric cable. They took various items from the shop and fled.

After investigations, the following suspects were arrested and have appeared in court: Sifiso Msiya, Gugu Mbotho, Siniko Gwija, Zintsizwa Luna and Matshelekisa Mbotho,

They all escaped from police custody on August 14.

Yesterday morning Luna was arrested by Harding police in KwaJali area. The other four are still at large. Anyone with information should call Lieutenant-Colonel David Nala at 039 433 9623 or 082 041 1052, or Captain Lulama Jona at 039 433 9623 or 083 659 6509.
