Desperate search for missing wife

2014-10-30 00:00

A RICHMOND man is desperate to find his wife, a primary school teacher, after she went missing 10 months ago.

Mgijinyelwa Wilson Mtolo (68) is searching for his wife, Zanele Joyce Mtolo, who went missing on January 10 on her way to visit her mother at Impendle. She never reached her destination.

Joyce taught at Sidunge Primary School in Richmond.

Wilson Ntolo said Joyce left on that Friday afternoon and was expected to return to Richmond the following day.

“I assumed she was spending an extra day until my mother-in-law gave me the shocking news that my wife had not arrived at Impendle and her cellphone was off,” he said.

Police spokesperson Colonel Jay Naicker said police were still searching for Joyce.

Jackson’s Private Investigators have now been assigned to the case.

Investigator Owen Jackson told The Witness a thorough investigation was conducted using different angles but there were no leads. “We interviewed people along the route to Impendle, colleagues and close friends. We also visited mortuaries and hospitals but Joyce Mtolo was nowhere to be found,” he said.

She was driving a maroon Toyota Tazz, NP 1414689, which has also not been found.

Jackson said Joyce’s salary has not been withdrawn, her Facebook profile had not been updated and her credit cards had not been used.
