2008-02-28 00:00

Wine, dine and whodunnit. After sell-out performances last year with The Strange Case of Hester Cilliers, Paul Spence and Annie Robinson return to the Hexagon Dive with their latest “dinner thriller”, The Strange Case of the Midlands Heiress.

The lights go down and it’s winter, 1919. A mysterious woman on a train, a polo-playing country gentleman, a returned soldier from the Western Front. It all adds up to murder in the mists of Nottingham Road. The action is gripping as Michael Buchan, the unlikely detective, (with the help of the diners) tries to unravel the mysteries surrounding the heiress.

• The Strange Case of the Midlands Heiress runs from Thursday, March 6 to Saturday, March 8 at 7 for 7.30 pm. Tickets R150 pp (R145 pp for a table of ten) which includes a three-course meal and coffee. A cash bar is available. Tables seat 10. Bookings: e-mail hexagon@ukzn.ac.za or telephone 033 260 5537.
