Dolphins vs Sharks: Clash of Kings tomorrow

2012-01-21 00:00

THERE will be some light relief for the beleaguered Dolphins when they take on the Sharks in the hit-and-giggle Challenge Clash of Kings at Kingsmead tomorrow.

The Dolphins, without a coach and with precious few wins this season, have little to smile about these days, but they should at least enjoy themselves against the burly Sharks rugby players tomorrow.

Keegan Daniel, named as Sharks captain for the season, will also lead them tomorrow.

“We have a good mix of experience and inexperience in our team, but we are all in the same boat in terms of not having played much or any cricket recently,” Daniel said.

“But no excuses, we’re still going to give it our best shot.”

Again the Sharks will be relying on Lambie, who captained KZN schools at both rugby and cricket, to set the mood.

“We have done a lot of mental preparation,” said Daniel, but even that should not be enough to prevent a Dolphins win.

The Sharks will field first (with 15 players) but only 11 will bat.

The gates open at 10 am and play starts at noon.
