Dolphins vs Titans serve a tasty fare

2010-01-16 00:00

THINK about it: Blake Snijman, Gulam Bodi and Jacques Rudolph for starters; a Faf du Plessis, Heino Kuhn and Farhaan Behardien main course, plus Albie Morkel and Roelof van der Merwe for a mouthwatering dessert.

That’s the appetising menu on offer at Maritzburg Oval on Sunday when the Titans meet the Dolphins. And the Titans don’t have all the appetising fare on their side of the table.

The Dolphins’ tantalising menu includes an Imraan Khan, Loots Bosman hors d’oeuvres followed by a Dale Benkenstein, David Miller main course.

As to the semi-finals, much of home-boys the Dolphins’ fate depends on last night’s penultimate match against the Eagles in Kimberley, while they will have been keeping a very close eye on the Titans/Lions tangle and Warriors’ invasion of Cobras’ territory.

Titans are already through, so the Oval match is of academic interest to them, but such is the nature of a side used to winning, they are unlikely to give it away. And whatever the results were yesterday, Dolphins coach Graham Ford will insist his side serve up something for fans to sink their teeth into.

Tickets: R20 adults, R10 pupils.
