Donations: Anti-Cruelty League gives thanks

2011-06-28 00:00

THE Animal Anti-cruelty League has expressed gratitude to people who responded to last week’s appeal in The Witness for cat and dog food.

“It was really gratifying to get such an immediate response from people and we just want to say thank you very much,” said spokesperson Gavin Pretorius.

Although the league is not out of the woods in the long term, he said, the donations of food and money it received will help.

The organisation, which recently moved to Claridge, has almost 70 dogs and the same number of cats currently in its kennels.

The league can be reached at 033 387 2449 or 082 656 8010. Food donations can be left at Hayfields Veterinary Hospital in Cleland Road.
