Dress like a star

DURBAN couturier Haroun Hansrot’s new signature store is a dream come true for the fashionista, who has dressed some of South Africa’s top celebrities.

Hansrot recently celebrated the opening of his store, 75, in Durban’s Stamfordhill Road, which will not only stock his designer range, but also showcases the garments of Indian designers Manish Malhotra, Shivangi, Hemant Trevedi, Sheetal, Anita Dongre, Gavin Miguel, Raakesh Agarwal and Alkesh Ramwan.

Hansrot said the opening of the store is the realisation of a dream and he has plans to open more stores. “The combination of each individual’s talents and skills, all working together to make our concept a reality in Durban, is a dream come true for me.

“I’m really excited about the opening of 75. I have been planning to open my own place for a long time and when I met the Celebrity Locker team, I just knew that the time was right,” he said.

Hansrot said his collection of designer wear is a fusion of Indian and Western silhouettes

“We have Indian and Western styles and ready-to-wear and couture collections. The beauty of 75 is that there is something to suit everyone and every pocket. Anybody can enjoy the exclusivity of having a designer-crafted outfit at an affordable price,” he said.

Customers are promised a real shopping experience when they enter 75 and will be able to have alterations, modifications and embroidering services done at the store.

Hansrot also has a talented team to help him at the store.

They include former model Rakshanda Khan, a television personality and actress in India with vast experience in television, films, live shows and theatre; businessman and IT specialist Hemant Thacker, an entrepreneur with interests in varied businesses across the globe and chief operating officer of Celebrity Locker Entertainment; and fashion choreographer Kedhar Gawde, adding his extensive experience with international brands and clients to the store.
