Durban concert in the park

2008-04-15 00:00

British singer and songwriter James Blunt will be supported by South Africa’s indie pop artist Josie Fields. One of South Africa’s brightest talents, Field has a unique, low register voice and a fierce stage presence that belies her normally calm and understated exterior. She will be opening the concert on May 26 at the Juventus Grounds (Botanic Gardens), Durban.

Having released her promising debut album Mercury in 2006, Field has gone from strength to strength — achieving enormous chart success with her hit singles Every Now and Then and 10 Years, which both reached number one on national and regional radio charts. She has also been nominated for Best Solo Artist for the MK awards and has enjoyed successful international tours. Field is set to release her anticipated second album in May.

The concert takes place in Durban at the Botanic Gardens.

Tickets are R300 (excluding service charges) and are available from Computicket at 083 915 8000.
