Durban is the place to be this winter.

“While other parts of South Africa, particularly our core Gauteng market, are in the grip of winter, Durban offers wonderful sunny days with no humidity: near perfect holiday weather. We are fully capitalising on this and we have a winter season packed with events and activities,” said Perry Moodley, acting CEO of Durban Africa, at the launch of the winter programme this week.

The MTN Durban Fashion Week, Vodacom Durban July, East Coast Radio House and Garden show and the House of Paints Airshow at Virginia are some of the events.

Other events include the Durban International Film Festival, Amanzimtoti Sardine Splash and the Umhlanga Winter Sunshine Festival.

“In addition, we have top-class accommodation, restaurants and sophisticated entertainment venues. We have something for everyone this winter in Durban,” Moodley said.
