Eastwood: man shotin the foot and robbed

A 33-YEAR-OLD man was shot and robbed of his valuables in Kingfisher Road, Eastwood, on Sunday evening. Police said Terryl Draai was shot twice in the right foot.

Draai was walking home at about 8.45 pm when five strangers demanded his cellphone, shoes and cash. He resisted and attempted to flee, but one of the men shot him twice in the foot. The men then overpowered Draai, took his valuables and fled from the scene.

He was taken to a nearby hospital in a serious but stable condition. KZN police spokesperson Colonel Vincent Mdunge appealed to anyone with information to contact Colonel Chris Wiles at 033 3879 622 or 083 770 1370.
