Elton John cancels Durban concert

2010-01-23 00:00

ELTON John has cancelled his Durban gig on March 24, organisers Big Concerts announced yesterday.

Why? To accommodate multiple mid-week Cape Town performances on March 14 and 25, which were set up in response to overwhelming demand.

Attie van Wyk of Big Concerts said cancelling the concert was “regrettable and unfortunate …”

Fans who bought tickets to the Durban show are eligible for a full refund upon presentation of their ticket at any Computicket outlet in the city. Alternatively, they can exchange their existing ticket for the Johannesburg performance at Emmarentia Botanic Gardens on March 21.
