Emigration not the way, says Buchan

STOP criticising and being negative. And don’t think about emigrating.

This was the message from Greytown farmer-evangelist Angus Buchan to about 5 000 faithful at a Limpopo Mighty Men conference near Polokwane at the weekend.

He told the gathering that people felt hopeless in the face of crime, rising living costs and a government that did not put people first.

“The question in many people’s minds is: should we emigrate; buy or sell? They don’t see a future for themselves in this country,” he said.

But, “Emigrating won’t help, you’ll confront your problems again in Australia.

“The solution doesn’t lie in Parliament. Ordinary people will change this country in their homes, on their farms and in their offices.

“I tell you, the best is still to come [in the country]. But first you have to get your houses in order,” he said, urging men to take responsibility in raising their sons.
