2011-05-18 00:00

FURTHER Education and Training (FET) colleges are gearing up for graduation on Saturday.

FET colleges nationally have one graduation ceremony annually. Here students who have achieved the three top positions in their subjects countrywide are honoured. Diplomas are also awarded.

Thirty-seven students will be recognised for achieving the top three positions in their subjects this year, while 210 will graduate with diplomas.

Three students obtained 99% in their subjects this year, while 15 first places in the national examinations were achieved. More students will be graduating with business studies than with any other diploma.

Dr Lungile Ntombifuthi Bhengu-Baloyi will be the guest speaker. She is the founder and director of M&M Development.

She is also a social justice advocate and an inspirational speaker and author.
