Fans see red over blunders at the Moses

2012-07-20 00:00

MOSES Mabhida Stadium management has apologised for frustrations some fans encountered during Wednesday night’s pre-season game between Manchester United and AmaZulu.

Stadium management had received “about 80” complaints about security stewards telling people they could sit anywhere, customers refusing to move out of incorrect seats and security not taking action to defuse situations that followed.

“Stadium management called a meeting today with the event organisers and contracted suppliers in order to discuss the issues raised by our customers as a matter of urgency and will conduct a full investigation,” it said in a statement.

Manchester United won by 1-0, courtesy of a goal from Italian Federico Macheda.

They play against Ajax Cape Town in the Mother City tomorrow.
