Gcina Mhlophe will present a retrospective lecture at the Albert Luthuli Museum in Groutville on Thursday as part of the KwaDukuza Coast's third annual Umdwebo Festival.

The lifestyle festival, which takes place in and around Ballito, commenced yesterday and runs until November 17. It offers a range of visual art, lecture-demonstrations, food and liquor tastings, live theatre and music at Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom and the Umdwebo's

signature event - the barefoot gala dinner-dance on the beach.

South African activist, actor, storyteller, poet, playwright, director and author Gcina Mhlophe gives the Luthuli retrospective lecture marking the 40th anniversary of Chief Luthuli's death.

Mhlophe has been invited to conduct this lecture as she was friends with Chief Luthuli. The lecture starts at 11 am. Booking is essential. Inquiries: 082 444 1825.
