Fifa mum on ticket sales

2010-05-06 00:00

FIFA has yet to release a statement indicating how many of the extra tickets that were released yesterday are still for sale.

“It is very difficult for us to give figures because sales are an ongoing thing and the number of tickets left is changing all the time,” said Fifa representative Delia Fischer.

“We would advise that those people still looking to buy tickets use the website, which updates ticket availability regularly.”

Those tickets marked as “currently unavailable” by are subject to change depending on the sale of hospitality packages and the ongoing finalisation of seating arrangements.

At 4.30 pm yesterday, the Germany versus Australia and Nigeria versus Korea Republic Durban matches were marked as having a “few tickets” available in the Category 3 section. These, for the time being, remain the cheapest tickets available in Durban.
