2011-08-11 00:00

THE SA Police Service firearms office at Mountain Rise has various firearm licences and competency certificates for collection.

Members of the public who have applied for firearms licences at Mountain Rise SAPS Centre are asked to call the station at 033 387 9635 or visit between 8 am and 4 pm on weekdays, bringing their IDs.

Members of the public who are in possession of firearms for safekeeping on behalf of other licence holders must ensure that they have a SAP 539 (Permission to Store a Firearm) centrificate.

Licences and certificates not collected within 90 days will be returned to the National Central Firearm Registry Office.
