NATIONAL First Division Coastal Stream side FC Cape Town were yesterday found guilty of fielding an improperly registered player, Noel Yobou, and fined R500 000 for a misdemeanor.

Even though the team were found guilty, club owner Errol Dicks was found to be innocent, according to PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu.

Majavu said: “Of the fine, R100 000 is suspended for two seasons on condition that FC Cape Town is not found guilty of a similar offence during the period of suspension.”
