Duncan Ebedes is a new voice who will be the next featured act at the Maritzburg Musicians’ Club at the Red Door.

“Contemporary folk rock” is the tentative label given to his music, and he lists his influences as Elliot Smith, Damien Rice, The Eels, Beck and Pearl Jam. His music is signatured with his own heartfelt lyrics backed up by a self-taught musical ability.

Currently play-listed on four radio stations, he is an active member of the musical fraternity and gives private lessons in singing and guitar, as well as performing at

various venues around his hometown, Durban.
