The 2007 Durban Drum Beat Festival at the Bat Centre will be held at the centre’s Oceans Eleven Restaurant from 7.30 pm. The show features a smaller package of excellent percussion-based groups including Mlilo, the Rishi Hans Group, Ubuhle Busiko, Ayanda Sithole, Matthew Ellis, Richard Ellis, Boom Boom and Billy Lukusa. February 20. Music diva Celine Dion is heading for South Africa to initiate her world tour. Dion has been performing for the last five years in Las Vegas, where her contract finishes on Saturday. Tickets range from R310, inclusive of service charge fees.

March 16. Josh Groban will be performing at the Greyville Racecourse in Durban. Groban’s new album, Noel, is available in South Africa, and is a collection of Christmas music featuring duets with Faith Hill, Brian McKnight and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It is produced by David Foster.
