• The El Sombrero Spur at the Scottsville Mall invites you to an evening of feel-good live music with Jammo from 5.30 pm onwards.

 

WEDNESDAY

• The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at UKZN Durban presents a preview of final-year undergraduate recitals in jazz performance at 5.30 pm. The ensemble features Sakhile Simani on trumpet, ­Shireen Elias on vocals, Genius Sibeko on piano, Talent Mbatha on bass and drummers Josh ­Klynsmith and Devon Hore. • October 28: Spring Festival at the Golden Horse Casino, featuring performances by Elvis Blue, Lady Lea, Teargas, Mario Ogle and Lloyd Cele. General and VIP tickets are available through Computicket and at Shoprite Checkers stores, with prices starting at R100.

• November 12: Bellwood presents De King and I, an evening of comedy and entertainment with Tony and Nicola De King, at the Bellwood Wedding and Conference Centre, two kilometres from Nottingham Road at 6.30 pm for 7 pm. Tickets are R125, and tables of 10 will be available. Take your own picnic. A cash bar will be available, and there are no credit-card facilities.
