• Cliffy’s hosts Shadowclub and Wish I May. The evening starts at 8 pm and entry is R40 at the door.

• Rowan Stuart will perform at Bluestockings in Kloof, showcasing an all-acoustic set, and a second set featuring electric guitar and live audio looping. Emerging star Luke Lovemore will open the show. To book your seat, phone Narene at 083 659 3628. Entrance is R60.



• Cliffy’s hosts Jammo from 7 pm tonight, featuring up-tempo rock classics from bands such as the Rolling stones, Deep Purple, Gary Moore, The Kinks, Motley Crue, Dire Straits, Creedence, Nickleback, Bad Company, Eagles and many more.



• Gary Nixon (The Kickstands) will be performing acoustic sets from 10 am at the Giba Café. Standard park entry applies — R10 for non-riders, R15 for riders under 12 years and R40 for adult riders. Inquiries: 084 582 0909.

• All-day fun and activities for the whole family at Mountain View country pub and entertainment centre, including live music throughout the day with Jammo and friends.



• Electro-swing outfit Goodluck will be performing at Franki Bananaz.

• The El Sombrero Spur at Scottsville Mall hosts an evening of feel-good live music with Jammo at 5.30 pm.


• Mountain View hosts Guitar Circle — an informal get-together for music lovers of all levels and with any instrument. The atmosphere is relaxed and the kitchen will be open. All are welcome.

• December 31: The 4th Annual Midmar Music Festival features Theo Kgosinkwe, Zonke and Zahara, among others.

• December 31: Rock the River New Year’s party features acts such as Fokofpolisiekar, Hog Hoggidy Hog, Reburn, Half Price, Peachy Keen, Stonecollar, The Modes, Junkyard Lipstick and CY.STR, among others. Tickets are available at the gate, Computicket, as well as Shoprite, House and Home, Checkers and Checkers Hyper.

• February 3 to February 5: Up the Creek Music Festival’s line-up includes aKing, Akkedis, Black Cat Bones, Blues Broers, Cameron Bruce, City Bowl Mizers, Fox Comet, Great Apes, Holiday Murray, Hot Water, Karen Zoid, Louwtjie Rothman, Machiniri, No One’s Arc, Piet Botha, Taxi Violence, Wreshrelish, Jeremy Loops, Sterling EQ, Andra, Peachy Keen, AC/DC Tribute and Southern Gypsey Queen. • March 7: Usher will headline the Hansa Festival of Legends Tour at the ICC Durban Arena. Tickets are R250 to R450 at computicket.
