• The Red Tap in Howick presents music with Jammo from 7 pm onwards. Expect a lively evening of rock favourites to kick off the Red Tap’s Christmas in July celebrations.

• The Jackie Horner Pub and Grill in Helen Joseph (Davenport) Road hosts Collin Rule performing laid-back acoustic music from 9 pm to midnight. Admission is free. Phone 031 202 9192 to book. Friday’s pasta special costs R39.



• Open Strings (a music club in Westville) will open its doors at 7 pm for the fourth time with Farryl Purkiss. • The Harbour Jazz Café is hosting a cross-cultural event at 8.30 pm at R20 per person, featuring a live band. The tone is set by a Jazzy House alongside a live ­percussion groove. • July 10: Prime Circle, Flash Republic, Dirty Skirts, the Pixie Bennett Band and others will be performing at the Mr Price Pro in Ballito.
