• Blistering line-up for Bushfire Festival: Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi, Goldfish, Black Coffee, Jamaican-Canadian dub poet D’Bi. Young, Habib Koité, The Yale Concert Band, Mime Decol, and SA-based French DJ Ben Montrésor, Gazelle, Pedro the Music Man, Tsha Tsha Boys and Hot Water. Bushfire is Swaziland’s biggest live-music happening, attracting in the region of 20 000. The festival is on Malandela’s Farm in Swaziland’s Malkerns Valley. Visit

• The Last Addiction and Friends, which features Steve Creswell (bass and vocals), Derek Jones (lead guitar and vocals), Bruce Smith (rhythm guitar and vocals), Dick Tempest (drums) and Paul Arthur (lead guitar and vocals) will be performing at the Monteseel Mountain Climbing Hut. • The launch of Patron Silver Tequila in KZN is celebrated at Origin with special guests Tamara Dey and Ryan Dent (Flash Republic) who will be performing songs from their latest CD. Supported by Gavin Bellis (Australia) and the Origin resident DJs. Doors open at 9 pm. Entrance is R60 before 10 pm and R80 after.

• From 8 pm, Red Door is hosting its popular pub night with DJ Scotty. Entry is free.
