• New Year’s Eve 48-hour party at Pit Stop, situated on Thornhill Farm (Thornhill Road, Mthatha) featuring DJ Choppers, Relocate and Master J. Admission is R100 and includes a spit braai, camping site, and children’s activities.

• Swissland Cheese presents live music with Pan Latino, at Swissland Cheese Farm on the R103 between Lidgetton and Balgowan. There will be cheese and wine. Take a picnic and invite some friends, and enjoy great music in beautiful surroundings. 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm, R70 per person (under 12’s are free).

• April 21. Splashy Fen, South Africa’s’s longest-running music festival, takes place over the Easter weekend. Tickets are now on sale at Computicket for the Early Bird price of R375. This offer is valid until the end of December only and tickets are limited. From January 1, advance tickets will cost R500.
