• The Labyrinth event takes place at The Origin, located in Glenwood, featuring 23 artists performing, including Leon Bolier, Ummet Ozcan and P.H.A.T.T, who will perform alongside 20 of South Africa’s top deejays.

• Durban rock electronica band Rise release their new single, I Know, at Mojo’s Bar at the Riverside Hotel at 7 pm. Playing songs from both their albums, the popular band will entertain with old and new dance and chill-out tunes. Entrance is free.

• Miller House Beach Party at uPhithi Puband Grill (266 Prince Alfred Street) from 8 pm, featuring DJs Sox, Webster, Chynaman and Sduz. Dress code: beach wear.

• Durban bands will be gracing the stage of the Green Hub (31 Stiebel Place, near Durban Country Club). Gangs of Ballet, Coals of Juniper and The La Els and headliners City Bowl Mizers will be providing the live music. Music starts at 6 pm and entry is free. For more information, visit

• The Jack Mantis Band will be performing at Cliffys.

• December 16: Black Coffee’s AfricaRising takes place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium with a 24-piece orchestra, conducted by Brendan Jury. Only 25 000 tickets are available at R150 from and all Postnet outlets.
