Gordon Igesund gets the all clear

2008-10-24 00:00

Maritzburg United coach Gordon Igesund has been given a clean bill of health after he was admitted to hospital twice in the past week.

Igesund went to hospital on Tuesday with nausea and vomiting and was admitted to the Medi-Clinic in Payne Street again on Thursday after dizziness, and diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Club chairman Farouk Kadodia said yesterday: “After the trials of the week, doctors have given Gordon a clean bill of health. He had all the tests for high blood pressure including a CTI scan, and has been passed fit.”

Kadodia said a decision will only be taken today if Igesund will sit on the United bench for this afternoon’s Telkom Knockout cup match against Free State Stars in QwaQwa.
