Grisly: kids find wanted man’s body

2011-04-04 00:00

A GROUP of children who were playing in a garden in the Nyandezulu area in Paddock were alarmed by the grisly discovery of a partly decomposed body in a cluster of nearby bushes.

Margate police have confirmed that the body is that of Phutaliyekile Ndlovu, who had been wanted by Paddock police on charges of indecent assault.

On March 28 and 29, Paddock police had raided Ndlovu’s house in an attempt to find him. His grandmother had told police that he had been missing for almost two weeks.

Upon finding the body, Ndlovu’s grandmother was called in by police and she positively identified the body to be Ndlovu’s.

Sergeant Phumzile Makaula of the SAPF in Margate confirmed that an inquest docket has been opened and that police are waiting for the results of a post-mortem that will determine the exact cause of death. — WR.
