Guitarist Tony Cox in Maritzburg

2010-02-26 00:00

THREE times Sama-winning acoustic guitar maestro Tony Cox is returning to South Africa from the United Kingdom this March for a tour through the provinces.

He left South Africa in 2008 and has since been very busy on the world’s stages, performing to an ever-widening and appreciative audience.

Cox has made inroads into several countries since moving to the UK in 2008, with Canada being a favourite place for him, with a steady increase in awareness of his musical abilities. His album The Best of Tony Cox has been released through retail outlets in Canada.

Cox will be performing at the Tatham Art Gallery (in the Lorna Ferguson Room upstairs) where Maritzburgers will be able to experience the home-brewed and matured 56-year-old guitar phenomenon.
