Have you seen ‘the newspaper man’?

POLICE yesterday appealed for information on the whereabouts of Zwelompi Simon Dlamini (60) also known as “the newspaper man”.

He was reported missing by his brother at the Pietermaritzburg police station and was last seen by his son on Saturday, December 7 last year at their home in the Gezubuso area outside Pietermaritzburg.

Police said Dlamini is a well-known vendor who sells newspapers and fruit along Retief Street in Pietermaritzburg.

Police described Dlamini as approximately 1,65 m tall, of average build, dark in complexion and with medium length grey hair in an afro style. He also has a short grey beard . He has two missing upper front teeth. Dlamini was last seen wearing a blue two-piece top and trousers. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should contact the investigating officer, Lieutenant Shontel Peters on 033 845 2407 or 083 465 8786 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
